My research interests include the functional role of the gut microbiome in human health, systems biology and integrative multi-omics, and the molecular mechanisms and host-microbe interactions that are associated with chronic inflammation. My current work in the Kuchina lab is on developing a computational pipeline for processing and analyzing multi-species microSPLiT data. Outside of work, I enjoy going on hikes and walks with my dog and partner, learning taekwondo, visiting wineries, and spending time with family and friends.
