Lauren Davis

Lauren is a Seattle native completing her B.S in Microbiology at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where she studied HIV-1 assembly and is interested in all things host-pathogen. In the Kuchina Lab at ISB, Lauren is running a four week anaerobic co-cultivation of Bacteroides fragilis and lytic phage Bf12P1 to elucidate the genomic and regulatory mechanisms that allow B. fragilis to persist under sustained phage pressure. In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her dog, going to concerts, and weightlifting.
